Captain software
The Captain Software maintenance program is running in a Filemaker runtime environment. It consists of a number of cards, with on each card maintenance instructions for a particular engine, part of engine or group of equipment.
Each card is unique and can contain up to 10 jobs on a running hours interval AND 10 jobs that have a time interval. A combination of running hours and time is possible as well.
When equipment on a card is due for maintenance, this card is popping up in the ‘To do list’. From this list, the job is edited and the maintenance carried out must be written down.
All history of maintenance is kept on the card and always available.
It is possible to plan maintenance when the jobs are not due yet and thus not in the ‘To do list’.
New cards are received from the Technical Department or are made by the users. In the last case, forward the user-made cards to the Technical Department in order to enter them permanently in the maintenance program.
With The Captain Software package
Captain Software
The Maintenance System works as an electronic card index system with which cards with maintenance tasks are converted into a "To Do" list on the basis of running hours or a set period of time, or a combination of both. Reports of completed tasks can be easily be made. Maintenance cards can be produced on-board, but also at the office whereby full control of the due and completed maintenance tasks can be achieved not only for the bridge, but also for the deck and machine room. Preventative maintenance can also easily be performed within the package.
